Working in a wide range of settings, I listen, distil and then re-present.

I was commissioned by Pete Watson of Mayfest to write new stories celebrating the town of Callington. I began by interviewing leading figures in the community, shop-keepers, residents in the care-home and curators at the Callington Heritage Centre. Following a period of writing, I collaborated with musical groups who 'rendered' the stories ready for a sharing at Mayfest 2018. The community music groups were led by Hilary Coleman & Rosie Fierek, Paul Wilson, Jenny Coombe and harpists Telynores.

I investigated issues of coastal erosion and flooding from the perspective of strategic policy makers, community engagement officers and emergency response teams. This contributed towards a theatre production in Porthleven and - two years later - led to a legacy project - an interactive workshop resource 'Home & Dry' in 2017/18. This resource was produced specifically for the local authority and Environment Agency and Community Flood Wardens to use with communities at risk of flooding. Further interviews were undertaken to evaluate the project. The resources are now available for use via the Cornwall Community Flood Forum.

I researched the history of the families who lived in and visited Trenance Cottages in Newquay during bygone years and then wove this into a two person play which was performed several times on Heritage Day. 2017.

Working closely with the curators of Constantine museum, I sifted through their primary research to discover stories about the community of Constantine. I shaped these into a one-woman piece lasting 45 mins for a one-off commemoration 'Constantine Remembers'. 2014.

Following a workshop I delivered in Truro, the tour guides of the Royal Cornwall Museum wrote a series of creative short stories which I then edited, each story being inspired by an artefact within the museum. 2018.

Over two phases of the 'Home Service' project I collected stories from care home residents, wove them into short stories and poems and in collaboration with Rick Williams, set some pieces to music. These were then performed by the Story Republicans for all the residents, their families and the staff in the care homes.
